Payment Data. We do not currently collect or process payment data. Paid plans are not yet available. When payment processing is introduced, this section will be updated to describe the specific payment processor used, the data collected, and how it is handled.

Social Media Login Data.We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Google or GitHub account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the social media provider, as described in the section called "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?" below.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information automatically collected

  • To track job application status. We scan Gmail (read-only, with user consent) to detect application confirmations, interview invitations, and rejections.
  • To generate salary predictions. We use machine learning models and public government data to estimate salary ranges for job listings.
  • To provide form autofill suggestions. We use your career profile and AI to generate answers for job application form fields via the Chrome extension.
  • To generate outreach messages. We use AI to create personalized cold emails and LinkedIn messages for contacting recruiters.
  • To verify email deliverability. We check whether discovered email addresses are deliverable via automated mail server queries without sending messages.

3.When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

12.Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.

13.Google API Services User Data Policy

RoleHunt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the gmail.readonly scope, which is the minimum permission needed to scan for job application status emails. Gmail data is not shared with any third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers. Gmail data is not used for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or AI model training. Users can disconnect Gmail at any time from their account settings, which immediately revokes the OAuth token and deletes all Gmail-synced data.

14.Chrome Extension Privacy

The RoleHunt Chrome Extension retrieves your career profile from our servers to populate job application form fields. For questions not covered by your profile, third-party AI services may generate answers using relevant profile data. The extension does not transmit the contents of completed application forms back to our servers. Learned field answers are cached locally in your browser storage. The extension does not track your browsing history, visited URLs, or any activity outside of job application pages. The extension requires browser permissions including storage, active tab access, scripting, and web navigation on supported job application websites.

15.Contact Discovery and Email Verification

Our platform discovers recruiter and hiring manager contact information from publicly available sources including professional profiles, public code repositories, and company websites. Email addresses are verified for deliverability through automated mail server queries; no actual email messages are sent during verification. Only verified-deliverable email addresses are displayed to users. Discovered contact information may be inaccurate or outdated. Users are solely responsible for complying with applicable anti-spam laws when using outreach features.

16.AI-Generated Content and Automated Decision-Making

Our platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning from third-party providers to generate job recommendations, resume tailoring, cover letters, salary estimates, outreach messages, interview preparation materials, and form autofill suggestions. Your career profile data, resumes, and job description text may be sent to third-party AI service providers for processing. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute employment advice. No automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made solely based on AI processing. Users may request human review of any AI-generated recommendation by contacting us.

17.Third-Party Job Data and Government Data Sources

Job listings are aggregated from third-party employer career pages, applicant tracking system APIs, job boards, and government databases. We do not control the accuracy or availability of third-party job listings. Salary prediction data is derived from publicly available Department of Labor LCA filings and Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational wage data. H-1B sponsorship indicators are derived from publicly available USCIS petition records. Government data is used under public domain terms and does not contain user personal information.

18.Do We Make Updates to This Notice?

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date at the top of this Privacy Notice.
