RoleHunt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the gmail.readonly scope, which is the minimum permission needed to scan for job application status emails. Gmail data is not shared with any third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers. Gmail data is not used for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or AI model training. Users can disconnect Gmail at any time from their account settings, which immediately revokes the OAuth token and deletes all Gmail-synced data.
The RoleHunt Chrome Extension retrieves your career profile from our servers to populate job application form fields. For questions not covered by your profile, third-party AI services may generate answers using relevant profile data. The extension does not transmit the contents of completed application forms back to our servers. Learned field answers are cached locally in your browser storage. The extension does not track your browsing history, visited URLs, or any activity outside of job application pages. The extension requires browser permissions including storage, active tab access, scripting, and web navigation on supported job application websites.
Our platform discovers recruiter and hiring manager contact information from publicly available sources including professional profiles, public code repositories, and company websites. Email addresses are verified for deliverability through automated mail server queries; no actual email messages are sent during verification. Only verified-deliverable email addresses are displayed to users. Discovered contact information may be inaccurate or outdated. Users are solely responsible for complying with applicable anti-spam laws when using outreach features.
Our platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning from third-party providers to generate job recommendations, resume tailoring, cover letters, salary estimates, outreach messages, interview preparation materials, and form autofill suggestions. Your career profile data, resumes, and job description text may be sent to third-party AI service providers for processing. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute employment advice. No automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made solely based on AI processing. Users may request human review of any AI-generated recommendation by contacting us.
Job listings are aggregated from third-party employer career pages, applicant tracking system APIs, job boards, and government databases. We do not control the accuracy or availability of third-party job listings. Salary prediction data is derived from publicly available Department of Labor LCA filings and Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational wage data. H-1B sponsorship indicators are derived from publicly available USCIS petition records. Government data is used under public domain terms and does not contain user personal information.
